Basics

My Profile

Beginner5 min read

Your personal account page — update your info, change your password, pick a language, view your salary history, manage bank details, and export or delete your data.

Key concepts

  • Profile: Your personal user record within the current workspace. Each workspace has its own profile (info you set in Company A does not carry over to Company B).
  • Display Name: An optional nickname shown in the UI in place of your first name. Useful if you go by a different name professionally.
  • Personal Language Override: Overrides the workspace default language for your view only. Teammates still see their own chosen language.
  • Salary History: A read-only log of every salary change recorded for you. Visible only to yourself (and to admins with the right permission).
How to

Step-by-step

  1. Open the Security tab and find the Password card.

  2. Enter your Current password.

  3. Enter the New password twice (must match).

  4. Click Change Password.

  5. You stay logged in on this session, but any other sessions are invalidated.

  6. In the Language card, pick a language for your view. The available options are English and Vietnamese.

  7. Your choice overrides the workspace default for your account only.

  8. Click Reset to default to fall back to the workspace language.

The Light / Dark / System color mode is toggled from the app header, not here. The Light / Dark / Brand sidebar style is a workspace-wide branding setting your admin configures under Settings → Company — there is no per-user sidebar-theme picker.

  9. On the Bank Account tab, enter:

    • Bank Name
    • Account Number
    • Account Holder Name
    • Routing Code (or branch/IFSC code, depending on your country)
  10. Save.

  11. Go to My Profile > Connections (or click Connections in the profile sidebar).

  12. Follow the OAuth flow to authorize the client.

  13. Once connected, your AI client can read and (with the right scopes) write your workspace data, scoped to your permissions, through the QONE MCP server.

See the MCP / AI Connections tutorial for the full flow.

Opening Your Profile

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app.
  2. Select My Profile from the menu.
  3. The page opens as a tabbed view: Identity, Security, Bank Account, and Salary History. The Bank Account and Salary History tabs appear only for salaried members.

Data & Privacy

On the Identity tab you can manage your own data:

  • Export my data — download a copy of your personal data from this workspace.
  • Delete account — permanently remove your account. You must type your email address to confirm; deletion is blocked if you still own records (e.g. workspaces) that must be transferred first.

Tips & best practices

  • Set a Display Name that matches how people address you in Slack or email — teammates recognize you faster in comments and activity feeds.
  • Change your password every few months, especially if you share a workstation.
  • Link your Slack identity from the Connections page — otherwise Slack notifications sit in the queue without a destination.
  • Language override is per-workspace. If you work across multiple QONE tenants, you can have English in one and Vietnamese in another.
  • Keep bank details accurate before the payroll cycle runs — once payslips are generated they reference the data that was there at the time.
  • Never share your password. Admins can reset a password for you; they never need to know the current one.
